sadie anne foxley

Growing up, most children believe they were born into the wrong family. That their real parents weren't working from 9 to 5 but were actually rockstars or royalty. And that maybe there was a mix up at the hospital or maybe the stork dropped them off at the wrong house. As early as Sadie could remember this is what she believed. It wasn't that Sadie's parents were boring or conventional, it was quite the opposite. Her father a musician of sorts and her mother a stage actress. And it didn't stop there. Sadie was the eldest of three, and both her younger brother and sister all were passed some sort of artistic gene that completely skipped Sadie.

Sadie had taken her role as the oldest sibling very seriously, always being the responsible one. Always picking up after the slack of others, helping her siblings with homework, and working different after school jobs to save up for college. Though she always felt a bit of envy of the fact that her siblings had a relationship and connection together and with their parents that she could never seem to achieve herself. She never resented her parents for this, because they clearly expressed their love for Sadie. Who could complain? But she just always felt like the odd one out. To her, looking at family photos was as if she were playing a game of "one of these things is not like the others".

Sadie was always a bit of the logical one in the family. The realist. Sometimes even the cynical one. She didn't believe in falling in love or things such as fate or destiny. To be clear, she's not some kind of heartless cold bitch. Just a little rough around the edges. She had always been a bit determined and competitive in nature. School was always very important to her, and she always knew she wanted a "real" job. A stable career and a check every week. She had no intentions on living as her parents did. Sadie was always the one trying to convince them to pursue different careers, as she always found theirs to be impractical and unstable. Though she'd never say that to their faces. But she has no problem trying to convince her younger siblings to step onto different paths. She knows they hate when she gets on their case, but she insists she just worries and cares about them.

Then the unthinkable happened. About four years ago in came that guy. The one that managed to break down Sadie's wall. She was always a stubborn one, especially when it came to relationships and marriage. She was determined she'd be single for as long as possible. But he was able to get her to change her mind, which to most people was an impossible task. Soon enough they were engaged. She spent months planning her wedding. Small and elegant. Or at least that's what it was supposed to be. About a month before both parties were set to say "I do", things had ended. Sadie can still remember the night he came over to break the news to her. It came out of no where and the situation only made her build her wall higher and thicker. This had become one of Sadie's pivotal moments in her life. It was that experience that taught her more than any book every could.

extra info

→ Born Sadie Anne Foxley on December 19th, 1980 to Jameson Foxley and Denise Golder. Oldest sibling to Stella Foxley and Marshall Foxley.

→ Attended Northwestern University in hopes to pursue a degree in Philosophy. She had always been completely fascinated with moral and ethical dilemmas. But she wasn't sure exactly how far her degree would get her. So among graduating with her Bachelor's she moved back to Philly and entered into paralegal studies. She started off with an internship at one of Philly's biggest law firms, which turned into a job as a paralegal that she holds now.

→ Sadie tends to come off very prim and proper. She's always leaned toward the "good girl" side. The chances of her getting completely wasted and hitting the club are slim to none. But there are those bursts of moments where she lets down her hair. It's just very rare, unless you know her well enough.

→ Sadie's parents put her in piano lessons as a child. She only kept up with it for a couple years. She still might be able to name all the keys and find middle c, but playing the piano has become a lost skill. And because of this, she is convinced the only instrument she should ever be allowed to play is the plastic guitar in Guitar Hero.

→ Her most prized possession is her collection of books. She has everything from the writings of Ayn Rand and Friedrich Nietzsche to Bergdof Blondes and Skinny Bitch. Of course the latter she tends to hide on the very bottom shelf she refers to as the "guilty pleasure reads".

→ Does not believe in horoscopes or anything such as tarot cards, palm reading, psychics, etc. She firmly believe it's all a bunch crap and that her sign means nothing. Same goes with fate or the idea that anything is meant to be. And that there is no such thing as happily ever after. She doesn't consider herself cynical, just a realist.

→ Sadie and her ex fiance had planned out a two week trip to Italy for their honeymoon. Because there was no wedding, Sadie had no intentions on taking the trip either. But she was convinced to still go, taking one of her best friends with her. It was in Sicily where she ended up meeting a new friend, Darien, who soon became one of her best friends.

→ Currently is roommates with her good friend Wil.
